J. Bowman, M. Gray, Win Overall 2012 Club Grand Prix Championship
January 28, 2013 (Tallahassee) -- Jeff Bowman and Marci Gray were awarded top honors at the Gulf Winds Triathletes 2012 awards ceremony and holiday party on December 17, 2012, at Momo's Pizza in Tallahassee. Bowman also won top male Masters (over 40 years old), and Robin Gibson won top female Masters.

All told, 63 of the 340 members of Gulf Winds Triathletes received Grand Prix honors. Five men (including Bowman) and five women (including Gray) won Overall Awards. Those annual awards are given to the five athletes of each gender who scored the most points at Grand Prix events in 2012. In short, they were the five fastest men and five fastest women, regardless of age group, over the season of Grand Prix events.
Members who competed in three or more Grand Prix events were eligible for awards.
The other four men's Overall winners were, in order, Alan Cox, Charlie Johnson, Colin Abbey, and Steve Steverson. The other four women's Overall winners, also in order, were Annette Wilson, Jennifer Kilinski, Sandy Holt, and Melanie Leitman.
The men's 50-54 age group continued to produce stallions. Just like in 2011, three of the five overall winners, Bowman, Cox, and Steverson, came from the 50-54 age group.
On the women's side, an equal grouping of talented athletes--Wilson, Holt, and Leitman--came from the 25-29 age group.

2012 Final Grand Prix Standings
November 16, 2012 (Tallahassee) -- The final standings for this year's Grand Prix competition are now available, updated as of December 6, 2012. One entry in the Men's 60-64 age group was missing, and its entry moved Pete Kerwin into third place. Please remember that the standings will list a race for you only if you earned Grand Prix points for that race.
Please read the scoring rules and check your results. If you think your listing is missing or has an error, please e-mail Bill Dillon and, kindly, point out any discrepancy.
Congratulations to all who participated in an exciting Grand Prix series!

2013 Grand Prix Standings through North Florida Sprint Triathlon
(Posted May 9, 2013) Lots of friendly competition is showing up in the results from the first four Grand Prix races of the 2013 triathlon season. Review the scoring rules here. Remember, if you competed in a race but no points are showing, it simply means you did not earn Grand Prix points for that race.
If you find errors or omission, please send a gentle e-mail to Rob McNeely. Thanks to Ron Morrell for doing the initial number crunching.
